Hello, she was in the United States Army stationed in Germany, it's not like she was on vacation and couldn't make it. She said they wouldn't be able to be official according to the Miss Florida Teen USA RULES but they were looking forward to being official when they could make the time constraint. (NT) -- Regardless the official preliminary title is the only one that matters. It is official period. These directors shouldn't have tried to contact anyone and get them to change theirs they made the active decision not to be official....one of the directors was here and could have began to make plans., 14:34:21 10/27/04 Wed They didn't make the active decision to be unofficial, they felt they had no choice because of the time. Also, Angela was still in school at UF in Gainesville. FYI Angela had never directed a pageant the Daytona pageant was her first, I don't blame her for wanting to wait until Kim got home. I know of a couple directors who were angry about how the time rule went down. They were told they had to hold their pageant by Jan 1, then there started to be exceptions to that rule. Miss Daytona Beach USA/Teen USA was one of those exceptions. I think the blame is on the state office for telling Kim and Angela one thing and letting someone else do another. One positive about the unofficial pageants is that it created a lot of other unofficial pageants like FL Panhandle, and Michael's super pageant. It also opened up the idea that the pageant season should extend past Jan 1.
