Det viktigaste är att man använder sitt sunda förnuft och uppträder som man normalt skulle gjort i vardagen. Man ska också ha modet att lämna ett forum om det börjar gå snett eller om diskussionen börjar ta en otrevlig vändning, till exempel om personangrepp upprepas.
Om man inte klarar av att förstå vad som är personangrepp så ska man inte heller delta i diskussioner, som kan leda därtill.
