I do like Sam & Max. Although it's probably just because of the rapport between the two main characters. I'm not so sure about it being too violent, especially compared to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (which incidentally, is my second favourite Lucasarts game).

I can understand why you wouldn't like it, compared to the other entries it's far too short and the ending is an anti-climax. But I can't help but like it :)

That's not to say it's amongst the best though, I'm just saying it's not the worst. Certainly better than The Dig in my humble opinion.
