] Date Posted: 12:46:48 03/26/05 Sat Hi, I got in contact with a Belgian aviation historian who had another photo published in his book Brussels Airport on a Junkers DI plane in 1919 at Evere. The plane is a complete wreck, without undercarriage, no tailfin, no prop. So it is clearly a photo I haven't seen before. A number of photo's have been published in the past saying that these planes were discovered by an Allied Inspection group on the 21st January 1919. However, nobody I know of, seems to have ever seen any Belgian documents or reports on the subject. I'm very interested to know if anybody ever has seen this Allied inspection report or anything decent on the matter, explaining which photo was taken where (Hombeek or Evere/Haren) or if anyone can direct me to a source where I could find out more. My sincere thanks and best from Johan [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
