( I consider this posting as one of the most
important ones I ever made as a music analysis. )

subject title :" A fantasy show for Valentine
by Regine's Media Publicist "

A fantasy show for Valentine
DIRECTLINE By Boy Abunda

Reposting of my special music report on Boy's Agenda
posted below this article by the person who refuses
to easily publicly state that he is the media
publicist of the song bird. The reson why is
obvious. It would prove that during the time
he started being one for her all the negative
articles about her that followed could only
have been happening with his approval and
permission. -mmJun/ the inside word +++++++++

How would you like a fantasy concert for a Valentine show? That is
exactly what four of the entertainment industry big wigs – Regine
Velasquez, Ogie Alcasid, Rico J. Puno and Ai-Ai de las Alas – are
about to do, a fantaconsierto.

As the title suggests, the Valentine concert is a fantasy musical
complete with fairies, an evil queen, a hopeless romantic and
star-crossed lovers in elaborate costumes on an equally elaborate
stage complete with special effects.

"We wanted to come up with a concert with a story," shares Ogie, who
will be playing the Prince. "So we came up with the concept of a
fantaconsierto. It might look like a play but it’s not. It’s still a
concert."

The story goes that there was once a Kingdom called Amorata tormented
by an evil queen (Ai-Ai) by forbidding love in her kingdom. But a
prince falls for a fairy (Regine) and spells trouble for the queen.
With the help of Rico J.’s character, also a fairy, the lovers embark
on a journey of love despite the villainous queen’s evil machinations.

Since the story is plot-driven, the entire cast will sing only a few
of their original songs. Most of the songs are borrowed from other
artists. Songs that would fit the story.

Though Regine and Ogie will still sing their formulaic love songs like
Nandito Ako, Mahal Kita Walang Iba, Sa Kanya Pa Rin, these songs are
subject to change since the script is still a work in progress,
according to Ogie.

While Ai-Ai and Rico J. will sing novelty songs spiced with their own
hilarious antics, Allan K. will surely be hilarious as the narrator of
the comedic fairytale romance.

Forever After is the brainchild of Regine and Ogie. The two have had
successful projects before as a musical tandem. This year, both sensed
that people might not want them doing the same thing all over again.
So they decided to do something different.

They brought in two of the most prolific performers in the country and
conceptualized an out-of-the-box Valentine offering. Result: a love
story in time for Valentine’s and set in a fantasyland.

Ogie says his tandem with Regine has always worked. Both are
workaholic and talented. "Regine’s got very strong ideas," says Ogie.
"She’s more into the aesthetic side of things. She’ll think about the
stage, the look, posters. As for me, I am more into the music."

Ai-Ai and Rico add more twist to the Ogie-Regine partnership with
their tried-and-tested capabilities. "These people can not only just
sing. They can play parts," says Ogie of Ai-Ai and Rico J. Ai-Ai is
known as the Comedy Concert Queen while Rico J. is the Total
Performer. Both are formidable entertainers.

Ogie also expresses admiration for his other performers, whom he has
known for such a long time. Ai-Ai is a long-time friend in the
business and Rico J. is someone Ogie has always looked up to.

"Ai is one of the most talented performers here. I have always worked
with her and she’s perfect for the part while Rico J. has always been
my idol. I think Regine’s, too," Ogie relates.

With a stellar cast of musical geniuses and great comedic
entertainers, Forever After is sure to enthrall audiences of all ages.
"Expect more fun in a different kind of Valentine concert!," as Ai-Ai
declares.

On Feb. 10 to 11 at the Araneta Coliseum, expect a funny Valentine
celebration when Starmedia and Aria Productions present Forever After
(fantaconsierto), directed by Rowell Santiago, written by Ricky Lee,
and under the musical direction of Raul Mitra.

For tickets priced at P2,750 (VIP), P2,200 (Patron A), P1,675 (Patron
B), P1,100 (Lower Box), P765 (Upper Box A), P550 (Upper Box B), P275
(General Admission), call Ticketnet at 911-5555, Aria Productions
926-7896 or Star Media 854-3322.

mmJun :

It is my call as a music person to let all
decent and good Regine fans to know what I
believe is true based on my knowledge and
experiences in life as a music person. And
as a music historian following the life
and career of our top female recording
artist Regine Velasquez

And as so I'm going to give you my take
of what I believe what Abunda her media publicist
and is next up to now in undermining her career
and personal life by trying to confuse her
heart and mind.

Abunda being the number one media detractor
of the song bird ever since she left her
ex-management back before the year 2000.

I believe Abunda intends to try and set
Regine up with Ogie Alcasid the exact same way
he was able to with his own music ware Ariel
Rivera did way back when both of them did
their concert together that also followed
a story book/ fantasy script which is what
is planned for in her upcoming concert.

That's my inside thought. And most of them
were not that far off track in the past.

Its being mentioned now before the shows
in an attempt to ...

mmJun ;-/

Be warned Regine and music fans .. and be
wise about it.

story is so interested in Regine music career to
make up a story on that subject. -mmJun

Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez squelches rumors that she has been shopping or entertaining offers for a new recording contract outside Viva Music.

"Though I am not saying that I have already renewed my contract with Viva, I am definitely not exploring options outside the company—at least not yet," says Regine during the pictorial for her Valentine concert with Ogie Alcasid. "Viva and I are still negotiating for my stay so that means, officially, I am still with Viva Music which, I must add, I’ve had good working relationship with so far."

The superstar singer–actress speculates that talks about her leaving the company sprung from news that her contract with Viva is set to expire soon if not already. Labels with international affiliations are said to be battling out among themselves since late last year to get Regine’s name on dotted lines.

The Songbird continues to be Viva’s banner artist despite talks that young singing contest champions are beginning to entrench on her throne. She is set to release a new CD under the company dubbed "Covers 2" which is predecessor to the Double Platinum (approaching triple) output in Dec. 2004. "Covers 2" will also contain rehashes of popular songs predominantly from the 80’s and 90’s as "Piano In The Dark" and "Hold Me In Your Arms" (the banner single).

Having already achieved the point when she can already experiment with her undertakings, Regine is currently in the thick of rehearsals for "Forever After" slated for the Araneta Coliseum on Feb. 10 and 11. Conceptualized as a ‘fantacon-sierto,’ it promises a storyline that will musically take its audience to a magical land of fairies and witches with comedic relief courtesy of guests Ai Ai de las Alas and Rico J Puno.

"It’s time for me to do something new," she says. "Nakakasawa na rin yung paulit-ulit na mga kanta so here, almost 80 percent of the songs are ones na hindi pa naririnig ng mga tao. Besides, Ogie and I just had a concert together last year so it’s pointless to work together again so soon without a fresh concept. Hindi ba, fresh ang pag-play ng character ko dito bilang fairy?"

Refreshed, meanwhile, is how Regine describes her current disposition since late 2005 gave this workaholic accidental respite. If usually, she is the frenetic multi-media commodity who would hobble from taping to shooting to recording to rehearsals to brainstorming sessions to contract signings on daily basis, she had enjoyed some free time while waiting for cameras to finally grind for her upcoming Star Cinema film with Piolo Pascual.

"Nakakapanibago nga kasi sanay ako ng naglalagare," she says. "Pero buti na din yung nangyari kong semibakasyon kasi at least nakapagrecharge ako. I will be needing all this energy when Ogie and I take ‘Forever After’ on a U.S. tour this summer."

Working for the nth time with Ogie, she says, is no stress at all. "We’ve been friends for so long that chemistry comes simply effortlessly. Walang ego, walang arte—and definitely no dancing for me as far as ‘Forever After’ goes," she jokes.

"Forever After" is bankrolled by Starmedia and Aria Productions. The concert is being directed by Rowell Santiago while script is by Ricky Lee and musical direction by Raul Mitra.
