Tissot Swiss Watches proudly present Regine Velasquez’ "Covers 2" in cooperation with Montre Watch Shop, MYX, the Manila Bulletin and Red Box Karaoke at the 3rd level, Greenbelt 3 Ayala Center, Makati.
After once more making pop music history a year ago with "Covers," Regine Velasquez, pushes the envelop even further with "Covers 2." Her most ambitious production to date the album is made up of foreign pop favorites presented with innovative arrangements. Regine in the album is the superb interpreter who takes on well-established favorites and gives them her own twist.
"I saw how people enjoyed my versions of Filipino hits in the first ‘Covers’ album," says the popular Songbird. "So I thought it might be a good idea to also do ‘Covers 2’ but with old foreign hits. I picked out songs that are rarely recorded by other artists and then gave them new, interesting arrangements."
To truly make "Covers 2" an exciting experience for all listeners, Regine assembled a select group of producers, arrangers and musicians who then gave their own interpretation of the songs.
These are "Call Me," "Head Over Feet," "Let’s Stay Together," "Come Together," "Never Give Up," "Kiss on My List," "Silly Love Song," "Straight Up," "Xanadu," "Take a Chance," "Still in Love," "Blue Suede Shoes," "So Much in Love," "On the Radio," "Kiss" and the first single release "Hold Me in Your Arms," which was originally popularized by Rick Astley in the ‘80s.
"Covers 2" is available on Viva Records tapes and CD’s.

SONGBIRD Regine Velasquez has unleased her latest album, "Covers," her first studio album since the phenomenal "R2K" four years ago. "Covers" is made up of cover versions of works popularized by other Filipino artists. Songs included are Martin Nievera's "Each Day with You" and "Ikaw ang Lahat sa Akin," Gary Valenciano's "Hang On" and "Di Bale Na Lang," Ariel Rivera's "Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin,"Nonoy Zuñiga's "Araw Gabi,"Side A's "Forevermore" and "Only You," Ogie Alcasid's "Ako'y Iyong Iyo," Basil Valdez's "Paalam," "Say That You Love Me" and "Kailan," True Faith's "Perfect," Archie D's "Mahal Na Mahal Kita" and Bong Gabriel's "Ang Aking Awitin." The two more songs that make up the 17-cut package are a new version of Regine's own hits, "Dadalhin" and an original, "Pangarap Ko'y Ikaw."

Joining her in the rap for "Di Bale Na Lang" is Andrew E. Naldy Gonzales of Side A performs in "Only You." Jay Durias of South Border sings with her in "Ang Aking Awitin." Medwin Marfil of True Faith guests in Regine's version of the group's big hit "Perfect."
Every copy of "Covers" comes with a video CD containing three music videos - "Pangarap Ko'y Ikaw," "Minsan Lang Kitang Iibigin" and "Say That You Love Me," the last featuring award-winning actor Raymond Bagatsing in his first music video appearance.
