Ain't it amazing, Regine fans?! This was filed against
them a decade ago! So I ask you.. why did Regine Velasquez
pay the B.I.R. money so fast?! Especially knowing that she
doesn't owe them anything. Why didn't she wait a decade like
this person did? And you'd think he was innocent?! I'm just
asking you what you think.. everyone knows who he is, no?
And ain't it amazing? Unless whoever is giving Regine some
of her advice ( and you can bet Abunda is one of them in
there ) about handling the B.I.R. isn't doing it for her
best advantage or benefit.
For one thing.. the B.I.R. is a mess. So no doing business
with them till they get their mess together. Regine is
said to be making a deal to pay them 1o million more?!
Take good advice- don't give them another peso till they
prove they aren't messing themselves up. Since the B.I.R.
commissioner and the B.I.R. person responsible for making
those false charges against Regine both RESIGNED!! They
passed their illegal doings to the next commissioner who
is doing what he can ONLY to save the B.I.R.'s face. Can
you imagine what can happen when the public realized that
a lowly shameless showbiz media publicist can influenced
a major gov't agency like the B.I.R.?! What do you think
would happen? Think about that one! ( think harder )
And another thing.. if Richard Gomez manager can escape
being charged for tax-evasion.. (linked to Boy Abunda,
by the way) and this Antonio Sanchez can get away with
it.. then how come those who are innocent like Regine
and most probably Judy Ann Santos are being smashed so
easily by it? How can they get charged but the others
not be? Here's the real question- how come the managers
are getting away since they are the ones who would know
and are the ones who would have given accountants the
permission to evade paying proper taxes in the first
place?! Its not possible.. unless they are screwing
their own talents. Or making deals to save their own
necks while their talents fry.

FORMER Calauan, Laguna mayor Antonio Sanchez, who is serving several
life terms for rape and murder, was acquitted along with his wife of
tax evasion charges filed against them more than a decade ago.
Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 264 Judge Leoncio Janolo Jr.
acquitted the couple for lack of evidence.
Sanchez is serving several life terms for the rape-slay of Mary
Eileen Sarmenta and the killing of her friend Allan Gomez in June
1993, as well as for the killing of a political leader and his son
in Laguna in April 1991.
The Bureau of Internal Revenue filed the tax evasion cases against
Sanchez and his wife Editha in 1995, the same year Sanchez was
convicted in the rape-slay case.
The BIR accused the couple of trying to evade the payment of eight
million pesos.

Actress charged in court for tax evasion

THE Department of Justice (DoJ) filed tax evasion charges against
actress Judy Ann Santos, saying it had established “reasonable
ground” to believe that she cheated the government of 2.7 million
pesos in taxes.
DoJ Prosecutor Olivia Torrevillas, who filed the case with the Court
of Tax Appeals last Thursday, recommended 20,000 pesos bail for
Santos.
Santos filed a motion for reconsideration with the DOJ the same day
the case was filed in court.
The complaint said Santos filed a “false and fraudulent” income tax
return in 2002, claiming her gross income was only 8,033,332 pesos.
But Bureau of Internal Revenue investigators said they found that
the movie and television actress’ actual income for that year was
16,396,902 pesos, resulting in a tax deficiency of 2.7 million
pesos, plus interest and penalties.

The question the media won't bother asking is this- who filed
a flase and frausulent income tax return for Judy Ann in 2002!
Because its obvious from just the way she reacted to the first
announcement of the tax-evasion charges to the things she said
that she had no idea nor how to do her own income tax filing.
So that bothers me.. that the media (and many of them know
better) isn't doing the kind of investigation and research
required in filing these kind of stories. Because this is
NOT a showbiz PR type article. Right? This ain't promoting
no movie or tv drama show. This is serious stuff. And is
tied to the problems of the song bird with the B.I.R.
How are they being able to get away with all this? Don't
you wonder?
Nothing to do with just showbiz anymore.

Judy Ann is being set-up to save the necks of
those involve. Just like the song bird was..
And the known Regine detractor was very much
involve. Ain't it amazing how a major gov't agency
like the B.I.R. can easily be manipulated like you
are seeing happen right before our very eyes..
