Here are the reasons: 1. The show promotes dependency and robotic existence as the Big Brother directs the lives of the participants. 2. The show's impact on the viewers to dream of entering PBB house. Why? because you will be an instant sensation if you were chosen as participant. Pinoy should aim to be better as themselves without the celebrity status plus the fact it is very comforatable to live inside the PBB house- you can eat without working hard and just have fun. 3. The show encourages viewers, particularly the youth to believe that it is okay to be a bum; people in the PBB house do not work to earn a living. 4. The show promotes a distorted/warped view on Pinoy life... Filipinos live in a community not inside one house. 5. The show thrives on shallow/petty issues. Filipinos suffer because of poverty, EVAT, violence etc. The show is being used to divert people's attention on the pressing socisl ills the nation is into right now. 6.
