She's used the influence she has because of the affair on numerous occasions and I don't doubt Mayor Jameston would want to make Erika's life miserable for that. Besides, this is a soap. Sometimes logic takes a backseat in the name of a blockbuster story. And i'm sure we can both agree Mayor Jameston coming down on Erika for repeatedly blackmailing him would be a prime example of that. And to be honest, I had forgotten the stuff about Carli's parentage and her mom having committed suicide. If there's meat there, I'd like to see that hit the fan too.
