George Herro owned the Carousel Club during the '60s. His brother Sam owned the Rouge's Club during the 60's and early
70's.
Richard Whitenton and I played at the Rogue's Club from 1967-
1969 before moving the band to Houston.
After we left the Rogue's Club Freddie Fender became the house
band. It is said that Sam Herro became his manager. Freddie
Fender won a music award for his single Loneley Days & Lonely
Nights in the mid 70's. He acknowledged Sam Herro during the
ceremony.
