yeh i read it in the metro too...couldn't believe it but then again 90% of the general public are thick as shit...i know i work with them! Still its no excuse x
I think these people that are prepared to blame the female victim of a rape are probably as equally likely to blame the male victim of rape. Some people aren't even able to believe that men CAN be raped, so if they think the clothes you wear and the amount you drink makes you responsible, then what must they think of men who have been raped?
To be clear, I'm not disgareeing with you, just offering a different perspective. :)
Well if you read the reply posted below the orginial link it highlights that it is not just people's view of women that is shocking, but their view of men ie that they cannot control themselves and hence it is not really their own fault if they rape someone because it is in their nature to act that way given the right signals.
