Subject: The cul de sac on Bishop and Millay

I have been informed that the homeowners as. has talked to Tom's landscaping about fixing the cul de sac as you come in off of Rochester Rd. where a truck drove across the island and destroyed it. I live at 1201 Bishop and we do not want anything planted that will block the view. We have had trouble before with cars sitting in the cul de sac and if any tall bushes or trees are planted it can become a safety hazard as no one would be able to see the houses if anyone came down the street. It would be a perfect area for crime. Barb had tried very hard to landscape this area and it needs some more done. The tree the city put in and the four shrubs are fine if they would just be balanced in the middle of the island. Transplanting some of the flowers there and then putting in mulch would be very attractive. We had grass before that turned into weeds and all dried up and was very unappealing looking to introduce Raintree. The bushes that use to be there were so over grown they looked terrible. The island is small so it doesn't need a lot of things, just something balanced and neat and free of care. The city will not allow rocks as they also are safety hazards. I try very hard to keep my yard and lawn looking nice and would like the island to be an asset to the property. We don't need grass full of weeds as we have enough of that around now. Also if it is dry, no one waters it as the water bills are to high. Please inform all of us that live on the cul de sac what is being planned and for input. We have had three different times of things stolen from our enclosed porch, closed garage and barn and we need to keep the area open so it is not enclosed from sight for thieves. Thank you.
