Subject: chemical reaction

Heres something i never had happen before. Took the pheasent out of the tumbler put the head in and started to glue it into place. I was using zap a gap for the glue. Out of no where my eyes started to burn then the birds head started to smoke and got very hot to the touch. Melted the skin of the bird and turned rock hard the bird is shot. Anyone know what went wrong I have done many birds the same way and never had anything like this happen.
Well got to go call the customer and try to explain what happen. Worse part of the job telling someone his animal is messed up and its my fault. Can anyone help to make sure this dosen't happen again. Can't fix the problem if I don't know what the problem is.
