The shoulder will be taller on a upright form then on a sneak type form. That is a natrual look for a deer in that postion. As far as the width I can't figure that out myself. The pose should not change the width of the shoulder. The only think that might do that is if the form has a sharp turn and you can't see the whole shoulder on one side. Some forms are made this way while others have the full shoulder and just the neck of the deer turning.
Look at where the armpits would be to see if this is what you got going on. Be sure to line the brisket and the pits up right and I think you will be happy with the way it comes of the wall.
