Subject: tried something different

Hey Larry. This past friday i tried something a little different. I mounted up a nice 8 point and used my own Dp.
Had been working from time to time with another friend for the past 4 years. and together we came up with a Dp. that seems to be working out just awesome. We came up with and i'll let everyone in on this that wants to use dry preserve for birds or whatever else. We used Borax 20 mule teeam 50% Aluminum sulfate40% and scented talcom powder 10% .to make 5lb bulks. well i gotta tell ya. this mixture really and i do mean really draws the hide up tightly locking the hair , but you deffenetly dont want to apply it and wait for a few minutes before mounting. Its 1 of those deals that you need to apply it once you are ready to mount it up. and i strongly recomend useing if you use a hide paste. to use 1 that is compatible with dry preserve. such as buckeye supreme. Well i tried the method you mentioned larry and didnt even apply any hide paste except for around my eye area.s and just the brisket. mAN O mAN i am really enjoying the outcome of this product of corse it probably has been around for quite some time but when you come up with something on your own its always alot more fun. Still havent jumped in with both hands yet on the repro antlers. except for working on an older rack i had laying around that was a small 6 point. well its now a 12 point with some drop tines and a few kickers. lol. epoxy sculpt job. now all i need to do is restain the rack to blend and i'll maybe order a cape and mount it up. and tell everyone i got it locally. LOL,LOL, well take care. Ray
