Subject: Badger rug shell

New to taxidermy and I have a badger I am making a rug with. I have oredered and received a rug shell from Vandykes. I am use to their being a concave area for the eyes but the rug shell is formed with the eyes and lids (foam) their. In cutting the hole for the eyes is their any secrets or don't do's? I am assuming if I would cut to deep or to big I couuld use critter clay?

Badger tail? Can it be skinned like a squriel of should it be split and skinned like a coon tail
