All other aftermarket cylinder heads must be of conventional production design and must maintain original-production port layout and original-production valve angles (+ or - 2 degrees). Cylinder heads must be available to the general public and have a part number from the manufacturer. Heads may be fully ported, with no restriction on valve head/stem diameter.

Oiling System - Any oil pan is allowed. No dry-sumps allowed. Oil pump must remain in the stock location. Vacuum pumps are permitted.

The headers must be connected to a working exhaust system with mufflers. Removal or modification of muffler internals is prohibited (no gutting). Exhaust pipe OD is unlimited, and the exhaust pipe must extend beyond the leading edge of the driver's seat with the exhaust directed to the side by means of a turndown. Mufflers also required on turbocharged entries but exhaust may exit behind front wheel.

FUEL/DELIVERY SYSTEM

Delivery System - Fuel cells, electric fuel pumps, pressure regulators, and any line size is permitted, but the fuel pump must shut off with a master electrical switch. A valve for removal of fuel during technical inspections is mandatory. Valve must be installed between carburetor and regulator, and should be installed in such a manner that allows a cup to be placed to catch fuel removed from the line. Exit of valve should be capped or plugged in addition to being closed for added safety.

Fuel - Only gasoline (as outlined in the General Rules) is allowed. The NSCA reserves the right to check gasoline at any time during competition. The addition of chemical additives intended to alter the makeup of the gasoline for increased performance is strictly prohibited. During fuel check, a competitor must identify the brand of gasoline being used. The sample will be considered illegal if it does not match the baseline results (ex. color, dielectric reading +or-.2, and chemical tests) logged by NSCA. Failure to pass fuel check is grounds for disallowance of the run during competition and disqualification from the event during eliminations.

Carburetor spacers are limited to a maximum thickness of 2 inches. Intake manifold adapters or spacers are permitted. NSCA reserves the right to add weight penalties to nonconforming manifolds.

Nitrous - Carbureted and fuel injected entries will be limited to a one stage nitrous system, either a plate or fogger nozzles. The system must be entirely contained in the intake manifold. A maximum of one fogger nozzle per intake runner is permitted. Nitrous plate must be mounted directly between the carburetor/throttle body and the intake manifold. Purge lines must direct plume out from under hood area.

Bottles - Entries limited to one 10 lb nitrous bottle. Must be securely mounted. If located in driver's compartment it must be equipped with the correct relief valve per manufacturer recommendations and vented outside the driver's compartment. The use of any agents other than nitrous oxide as a part of, or mixed with, this pressurized fuel system is strictly prohibited. (Push systems are prohibited.) Commercially available, thermostatically controlled, blanket type bottle heaters are acceptable. Any other method of heating bottles in vehicle is prohibited.

Electronics - No progressive systems, which control nitrous/fuel delivery, are allowed. Electronic or automated boost controllers of any type are prohibited on any forced induction vehicle. Manual (non-electronic, and non-automatic) wastegate controls are required for turbocharged combinations. Entire fixed system including control and tubing must be located in engine compartment and be self-contained.

Supercharger - A single centrifugal supercharged engine when used in conjunction with a carburetor may be any cubic inch. Engines utilizing superchargers used in conjunction with fuel injection may be no larger than 360 cubic inch. Supercharger is limited to an inlet size that will fit into a 5.5-inch inside diameter hose. Injection of any liquid, gas or any other substance in the inlet or exhaust housing prohibited.

Turbocharger - Turbocharger is limited to a 101mm-inducer wheel diameter when used in conjunction with a carburetor. Carbureted turbo entries are allowed to be any cubic inch (so long as it fits into legal block/deck combo). Fuel injection is legal in conjunction with a turbocharger, but maximum inlet inducer inside diameter limited to 88MM. Fuel injected/turbo engines limited to 360 ci. Injection of any liquid, gas or any other substance in the inlet or exhaust housing prohibited.
