Subject: tire size

What time range is this class to be designed for? I realize that there are always going to be cars that exceed the average et range but what times are we shooting for? We only raced 4 ez street races this year due to our "limited street" efforts but it seems that the average ets for this class is 5.50 - 5.70. I am sure that the class ets will be reduced with experience but some type of limitations should be made in the rules to attempt to keep the times within reason. (and yes I realize this is not an index class). I race with a group here locally that has been successful in keeping a tight group of cars by limiting the tire to a 10 x 26 et drag. I'm not recommended this particular tire but only trying to offer the suggestion that a minimum "safe" tire size be considered!
2cnts + 2cnts is 4 now.

Terry
