I like the most of these rules, but my fab 9 didn't come with brackets on it and in order to move the leaf spring in on my 70 camero the frame has to be notched for clearance my tires are hagging out of the rear fenders, the tire is touching the leafsprings and the spring is a 1/2" off the frame since the frame goes from 2" to 3" behind the front mount. So what is wrong with making the frame 2" all the way this is only a 4" area that is 3" wide. Most all of the leaf spring cars I have looked at have moved the leaf springs from the factory location, So what is the differance in a 1/2 and 12". My point is don't get to picky about welding notching or fabricating. If it has leafsprings on it and no coilovers and has minor notching for clearance it should be legal. Everything under my car will be fabricated, there's no since in me paying for something I can build!
