Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament

The Greens/EFA Group in the European Parliament is seeking to recuit a stagiaire to work in its busy press office starting as soon as possible. The stage, which will be remunerated, will initiailly last for three months (with the possibility of an extension to six months).

The work of the stagiaire will be to support the press officers in their daily administrative work, including;

* Compiling a daily electronic summary of press clippings
* Translating and editing communications material
* Helping to organise and taking notes at press conferences and events
* Updating databases of contacts

The ideal candidate will:

* Have a good knowledge of the EU in general and the European Parliament in particular
* Have excellent written and oral communications skills
* Be confident working in English, German and French
* Have a good general IT ability (especially MS Word, Outlook and the web)
* Have graduated, or is soon to graduate, in communications/journalism/public relations or political science
* Have journalistic or public relations experience
* Be sympathetic to Green politics and policies
