ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT AVAILABLE FOR RENT IN SAINT GILLES FROM 1 July

LOCATION= Rue de la Rhétorique, 1060 St. Gilles, at the crossroad with Rue de l’Hôtel de Monnaie, next to Barrière de Saint Gilles and within walking distance from both Parvis de St. Gilles and Porte de Hal metro station. This translates into plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, a daily market, excellent public transport facilities, and of course the multicultural ambiance of one of the nicest neighbourhoods in Brussels.

DESCRIPTION=Third and top floor of a maison de maître in disguise, fully refurbished 2 years ago. Approximately 60 m­2, one bedroom with built-in wardrobe and direct access to the bathroom. Semi-equipped kitchen (including gas cooker and fridge), and living room. Lots of light, full height ceilings, double glazing to all windows, wooden floors in all rooms (save the bathroom…), gas fired independent central heating with radiators in every room. Friendly neighbours, and a very reliable (English and French speaking) landlord who takes care of any inconvenience swiftly and effectively.

TERMS OF RENT= We signed a standard three year lease, different arrangements (shorter terms or taking over ours-still one year and a half to go) could be discussed with the landlord. We currently pay 495 € per month, plus 14 € on a lump-sum basis for water and communal electricity expenses. There are individual gas and electricity meters, with average total bills around 60 €/month.

Troisième et dernier étage d’une maison de maître (déguisée) au carrefour entre la rue de la Rhétorique et la rue de l’Hôtel de Monnaie, tout près de la Barrière de Saint Gilles, à quelques minutes du Parvis de Saint Gilles et de la Porte de Hall. Complètement renouvelé il y a 2 ans, environ 60 m2, 1 chambre avec placard et accès direct à la salle de bain, cuisine semi- équipée (plaque de cuisson à gaz et frigo) et living. Très lumineux, doubles vitrages, plancher partout, chauffage autonome avec radiateur dans chaque pièce. Voisins sympas et propriétaire vraiment fiable, francophone et anglophone.
Nous avons signé un bail standard de trois ans, pour des accords différents il faudrait en discuter avec le propriétaire. Loyer actuel : 495 € au mois, plus 14 € de charge (comprenant l’eau et l’électricité d’escalier), compteur de gaz et d’électricité individuels.
