Subject: buying meds on line

my vet told me if I purchased meds on line for Polar that the company could not guarantee the drug since it didn't come directly from the company. Also, my vet wants to charge me a $10 prescripition fee--is this normal? Also, they said if my dog has some reaction to the drug, the company would pay to treat her only if it was bought from the vets. What do y'all think??
