I find for the most price efficient way to buy joint supplements is to use horse products. They are cheaper than dog or human.

I use VitaFlex brand which is excellant quality and very cost efficient.

For dogs w/ arthritis I use Equinyl CM. It has alfalfa, Glucosamine, Chondrotin sulfate, MSM, bromelain, Ester C, and trace elements.

For younger dogs w/ no joint problems, but are very active or working dogs I use Vitaflex GL which is just Glucosamine and vit C. I usally add some vitaflex brand MSM as well.

The Whole Dog Journal a few months ago had an excellant article on Glucosamine and Vitaflex was one of the brands they recommended, but I've been using it for years w/ great results.

You can get it as most feed stores, if not www.jeffersequine.com has it and if you spend around $60 I think, the shipping is free for livestock items.

Vitaflex also has DMG an immune supplement and it a whole lot cheaper than anyother brand I've found!
