Subject: dog in kennel

I left Polar in the kennel for the weekend while we went on our family vacation. This was her first weekend away since we got her in September and since she was abused before I was very concerned about leaving her. Anyway, when we came to pick her up she had scabs completely around her nose where she had her nose stuck in the fenced door the whole time we were gone--staring at all the staff as they walked by. Also, they are treating her for loose bloody stools. Is this normal? What would cause her to have blood in her stool? They didn't seemed concerned(vet)so maybe I shouldn't either. On a good note, she was so happy to see us. And, the vet said she behaved very well. I'm glad we aren't planning any more vacations till August (then I'll start getting the doggy blues!!)
