There's no built in way to scale images in the description...but I just had an idea, and it works in Mozilla at least: use CSS to fix the size of all images in the feed. I don't know whether there's a way to maintain the original aspect ratio though. Here's an example of what your HTML and PHP might look like:

<html>
<head>
<style type="text/css">
#feed img {
width:50px;
height:50px;
}
</style>
</head>
<body>

This image will not be scaled because it is not inside the div whose ID is "feed".<br />
<img src="unscaled_image.gif"><br />

<div id="feed">
All images in this div will be 50 pixels square, even if they specify different dimensions.<br />
<?php
require_once 'carp.php';
CarpConfAdd('descriptiontags','|img');
CarpCacheShow('http://somewhere.com/newsfeed.xml');
?>
</div>
</body>
</html>

Regarding upgrading from Koi to Evolution, if you buy Koi and want to upgrade to Evolution, you can do so by paying the difference between the price you paid for Koi and the current price of Evoluion. Email me using my contact form at http://www.geckotribe.com/info/contact.php, and I'll send full details for how to do it. The process of performing the upgrade is simple--just upload Evolution over the top of Koi (or GPL, for that matter) and you're done.
