To do this with Carp you can use the MySQL plugin which will store items from feeds in a MySQL database
MySQL plugin.

A simpler method, which doesn't store the feed on your server, is
Feedcatch which is an online feed cacheing system that retains all items posted in a feed. It's still in beta and not perfect but will probably serve your purposes perfectly.
