Coldplay連續登上信和、HMV、以及各大唱片舖的外語碟銷售榜
第一位罝，說明了香港聽眾始終是一貫感性的。這不是英國殖民地
情意結（捧曼聯才是），慢版愁緒的曲風一向就是這堛漸D流，而
沉厚的電子結他主旋律則是廣東抒情歌不能給予我們的。當然我們
都算有不少渠道去收聽不同的流行音樂，電台中英日韓歌曲輪流播
放，翻版，mp3 download，網上試聽，加上很多人本身對本土廣東
歌的蔑視，所以轉而有更多興趣接觸外國流行曲。香港越來越多人
接受R&B同hip-hop，所以上年格林美一頒完獎，就有不少人去買
Alicia Keys這個囊括所有R&B獎項的新人的碟來聽聽，他們亦會
很樂意掏荷包去欣賞一下Eminem rap鼤吨f怎樣比LMF更有意思
（絕無貶意），與及Linking Park純美式喊破喉嚨搖滾。韓劇佔據
了香港觀眾的時間和心情，所以我們亦多點機會聽聽有點八十年代
尾、九十年代初日文歌風格的韓曲。日文歌本身呢，雖然崇洋變到
半日半西，椎名林檎都走去翻唱Carpenters的作品，但不少人覺得
聽起來也可以類比一下。另外，連Classical都會成為流行音樂，
在巴士電視上面都不時見倒陳美Vanessa Mae拉著小提琴。


不過這樣左聽右聽，兜兜轉轉，我們都是會走回去細聽一些心同感
受、俗套感性的歌曲。一首In My Place加一首Scientist，多少唱
出一陣和情人無疾而終的失落感。若你去看看一些碟評，他們一定
會將這張大碟和他們上一張比較，多半認為新不如舊。但又有什麼
關係？碟砰是為了搵餐晏食吸引讀者而寫，而買碟的人郤可能是為
了arouse番一種種感覺而買來聽的。情況就好似，若果你是2001
年頭失戀的話，你或許會聽周杰倫的黑色幽默，2001年尾失戀的
話，會聽安靜，唔好彩係今年的話，咪聽回到過去。近排無線播放
末來日記，立刻有人想找回有中年豁達feel、由桑田佳佑主唱的的
主題歌“海潚”，可惜一早已絕版了，這首在日本賣二百九十幾萬
張的single。旋律特別嗎？又不見得，本身就是一首大路舒情歌，
很難唱嗎？當然要好似桑田佳佑這麼動聽不甚可能，但這首歌的音
域又不需要忽高忽低。不過這首歌郤是one of my favorites.
