這一百年來，地球已展開了兩次大規模的戰爭，令人民苦不堪言。日人侵華、侵韓，本應受世人所厭惡。然而因為一個足球，彼此恩怨一朝了。

不管你是誰，只要看到你身穿的球衣，大家便會立時friend起來。足球為人類帶來了凝聚力。不僅在其他民族意識較強的國家才能看到，連香港這彈丸之地，也因為足球而打成一片。

看到韓國球迷拉起「韓國人也支持中國人」的橫額，也看到日本球迷和韓國球迷這兩批「世仇」手牽手的歡呼。誰勝誰負彷彿已變得不重要。在這個爾虞我詐的灶會裡，這種精神，從來都沒有人教過我，偏偏因為一個足球，我才可以體會到。

一直被我覺得「廢柴」以及不復當年勇的Hakan Sukur，完前後主動握著李敏成的手，把大家拉在一起的舉動，令我明白Gunes何以堅持讓他出場。我以為，輸的一方永遠只能垂下頭來做人，贏的一方永遠也都是趾高氣昂。原來並不如此。

你揮舞著我的國旗，我叫喊著你國家的名字，大家不分種族、不分你我。一次握手、一個擁抱，把人類的隔膜徹底打破了。

重新認識身邊的親人和朋友，世界原非險惡，人為矣。足球為人類重新連繫起來。它的魅力，莫過於此。

很想向各個大國的頭目獻計，可惜永遠沒有我的份兒——要是想打仗的話，何不以一場足球賽來分勝負？
