I've been thinking about trying your recipe for Collard-Asparagus Caserole. I do like asparasus and the whole recipe does sound tasty. I suspect most of my (and my Northern brethern's) distaste for collards is a total ignorance when it comes to collards.

I can't seem to find frozen collards in my local grocery stores. However, one of them does carry fresh collard greens in the produce section. What do I do with them? How do I prep them for use in a recipe like this?
