LOL....Mary, this is so funny now. Cybersleuthing?....I'd say more like cybergoofing...lol. And I can say without a doubt that I don't have any skills that could be characterized at "incredible". (I wish!) I am very curious about things, (or maybe nosey?), and I go searching around, and sometimes I get lucky. I wouldn't have known the mayor of Peoria except that I had stumbled upon a picture of him from the event.
After the parkway dedication I was searching around hoping to find some other videos or articles. Dan's mom was so sweet and interesting to listen to, I really wanted to hear more from her. I thought for sure there would be more video of the event somewhere. The guy second from the right looks like the man in the video to me, and his name was listed, so I just seached his name, and it turns out he's the mayor. Makes sense he would be there: http://www.ci.peoria.il.us/mayors-office
Anyway, when you mentioned Dan's brother, I had to go look at the video again to see who else was behind her. And that's really what's funny about this...lol. Since I knew the man behind her wasn't Marc, I focused on the man behind HIM. I actually thought you knew what Marc looked like, and had recognized him in the video. So I got it in my head that the "incognito guy" with the hat and shades must be Marc...lol. He looks like a cool guy, trying not to be noticed, and about the right age. Marc has to be at least 60, probably 61, right? (oh yeah, and that's another thing - didn't you think the mayor guy looked a little young to be Dan's older brother?) Oh well....I just hope we didn't confuse anyone else. I guess we're both a couple of goofballs on this one....lol.
So, I hope this sets things straight. 'Cause we all know a little misinformation can go a long way sometimes. There's probably someone out there now who's been reading bits & pieces of our posts and stirring it up in their head, and is convinced now that Dan's brother IS the mayor of Peoria.....lol. (But let's hope not...)
