Yes, the nativity is well worn...the stable is cardboard and the few pieces are plastic. At one time, they were glued on the cardboard. His mom put it out every year.
In 1981, the year I was hospitalized during the holidays, and our then three-year old son stayed with his grandparents...he placed little Fisher-Price people around baby Jesus. Grandma told me how he loved to move all the people around in the stable and "outside."
