..... As I seem to remember reading, Philosophy predates Science, and it at one time was trying to explain by just thinking what much later Science actually proved or disproved by various experiments, if possible.
..... Perhaps (many? most? all?) ancient forms of Philosophy are now obsolete? Or nearly so?
