Blinking in the noon-day sun, slowly the large male emerged from the dusty crate, moving slowly; cautiously to stand a full three feet from the crate. Saucer-like eyes rove calmly about the strange territory. Slowly, like many of his movements, his breath was expelled with a rush of heat and sound, the long grunt echoing off buildings and trees alike. Hearing no immediate reply, his attention moved to the human, standing a few feet from the collection of crates. Large paws leaving imprints in the fertile soil, he made his way over to the man, twisting around the head and torso of the emerging female. His head nearly level with the man's chest, most would be terrifyed when they saw the moist nose and jaws of such a large creature heading for their throat area.
The female, her lightly taned hide matted with dust and debris from the crate, emerged with a quicker step from the confines, pausing only momentarily as the large male moved across her path. Already a few meters away, she stoped and turned back, every sece at her disposal working madly to study her surroundings and give her a tactical advantage should she find herself under attack.
Unlike both felines (who the wolf had come toenjoy the company of) Altair (we'll call him Altair because i don't feel like editing that name off his picture)stayed, quite nervous, in the shadows of his crypt, unafraid but unwilling to emerge and leave behind the safest place he had known for the past three weeks. The low whine that escaped him echoed his worries, drifting from the black of the crate with a certain wraith-like air of mystery. Disgusted with himself and to proud to admit his fears, Alt forced his paws into movement, his nose breaking into the sunlight first, closely followed by his head and shoulders. But there he stopped, most of his brilliant and handsome physique exposed but his haunches still hidden in shadow. His muscles, stiff and combat-ready, held him truly still (none of this soft swaying that happens to humans and other prey animals when they breath) the sun dappled on his coat that was relativly free of dust (grooming is a prime trate in the breeding male).
