My great-great grandfather Bombardier William Jones R.A. was married at the Quebec garrison in 1833, He belonged to the 6th battalion, 6th company, I believe. I have searched WO 97 and seveal WO 69 records to find his discharge papers to no avail. His third child, Charlotte, was born in Kingston, Upper Canada in 1839 but his next child, also born in Kingston, was not baptized by the garrison chaplain or listed in the army record of children born overseas. So I assume he was discharged around 1840. I would appreciate any help you can give in finding his discharge papers.
