【明報專訊】就個人資料私隱專員公署及平等機會委員會早前出現行政管理漏洞，會計界譚香文提出，成立獨立機構協助各法定機構定期進行內部審計工作。民政事務局長何志平認為，絕大多數機構已聘用獨立的審計師，及審計署會不時對各機構進行審計工作，故此毋須特別成立獨立機構。

民主黨張文光質疑，若政府不設立獨立機構為法定機構進行審計工作，如何回應早前私人專員公署及平機會的醜聞。何志平表示，機構的內部審計工作需配合機構本身的大小和運作，不能強行設立獨立機構。

研究會否分拆主席職位

另外，何志平在回應質詢時表示，正研究是否分拆平機會執行主席一職成非執行主席和行政總裁，評估這做法對平機會的影響，以及海外相關機構的安排。
