Subject: Tying the frenulum - what kind of suture/needle?

My frenulum is too tight and I would like to try this method. I would much prefer to do this with a sterile suture kit. What kind of needle/thread is best?

Here is one: http://www.medisave.co.uk/mersilk-suture-30-75cm-36mm-p-7701.html

It is a silk thread with a half-circle needle. Would that be OK?
