Hi Jeff,

Yes I read your posts and well done! I still have about 3mm to go and it's red and sore now and inflamed a little bit.

I do not think there is infection as I have used anti-biotic cream and Vaseline for additional suppleness.

In fact it seems more sore and irritated now that the thread is cutting through the skin.

I really wanted to use the compression method rather than any form of incision but now at this stage I am not sure whether to wait a few more days and see what happens or to anesthetize with ice and 'snip' it manually.

The pain of the initial 'snip' should be minimized by the ice to a degree but I am concerned about arterial bleeding and scar tissue forming at the site as well as possible infection.

I used cotton and then floss as my thread but this in my opinion is an error.

I believe that Stretch Magic or similar is the way to go.
