Subject: sudden constriction of foreskin

I am a 62 yr old uncircumized man who has never had a problem with foreskin. Over the last couple of months the foreskin has tightened. It is not tight when closed over the glans. But pulling it back fully to expose the glans does require more effort than it has in the past. Once the foreskin is pulled back all the way and the glans is fully exposed, the foreskin is tight and its diameter is smaller than the full diameter of the penis'shaft. This makes it difficult to then pull the forskin forward to once again close over the glans. Also, the flesh of the foreskin is smoothened and lightened in color. Is anyone familiar with this situation? Is it phimosis? What can be done about it?
