From what I have read this treatment works most of the time but sometimes it isn't enough if it doesn't work for you you can have a minor surgery called a z-plasty that will probably work.The worst problem this could cause is paraphimosis where your foreskin gets caught behind the head(glans)of your penis while erect and if this happens circulation would be cut and you would have to go to a hospital and they can make your penis flaccid so the foreskin can be pulled forward.If this happens it is an emergency and would happen during sex or masturbation.Here are some links on the z-plasty and more information on phimosis.
