In reply to: Confused 's message, "Thanks! You are an angel to help me. Is there anyway to "save" some of the colored water in case I need to dye any additional fabric?" on 06:31:32 04/04/07 Wed

what I actually do is after I am done dying everything, I let the washer agitate a couple mins then I used the large bottles from the fabric medium (empty of course) and I fill up a couple of them with the paint mixture to save. They keep well that way. Just make sure to shake them up if you need to dye anything else.

Dye is only good up to about 2 weeks after it is mixed and it's best if kept in the refrigerator. It will stagnate(sp?) and stink like all get out if you keep it longer than that. It will also cause your fabric to stink if you use it after it has turned that way.
