It was good to see Captain Brickell's opening remarks on the website. He was a great CO and I feel honored to have served under his command. After serving on diesel boats for several years and then going to "boomers", it was refreshing to serve under a CO that had a diesel boat attitude towards his boat and crew. Ship's morale was at an all time high under his command and we still met all of our committments. As a result, we had an excellent crew. We were the Von Steuben.
