Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I saw

a documentary film, Moonage Daydream, about David Bowie. It wasn't a traditional documentary with a narrator. Bowie himself did the talking through old interviews, writings, art and performances. It was visually stunning and made me miss one of my favorite artists even more. The film is available on HBO.

So we broke down and paid $6 for A Man Called Otto, starring Tom Hanks. The film is based on a Swedish book, A Man Called Ove. Cute, sweet and predictable, follows the journey of an old man who recently lost his wife of 50 years. He tries to comment suicide to join her, but get interrupted by friendly new neighbors, who he finally comes to care about so much that he changes his mind.
The Bowie documentary sounds good. He was such a talent.

I actually have HBO. And I adored David Bowie.
