Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I

saw The Wife, with Glenn Close and Jonathan Pryce. It's the role that Close has been receiving so many nominations and wins for, but it is the only nomination for the film at any of the awards for a reason. She is amazing as always, but the "twist" in the story is pretty apparent from early on. It's still a decent film, but nothing too special.

It was a pretty good movie, a bit slow. Julianne Moore starred as the opera singer and really overacted it. I never have liked her work. Ken Watanabe was good. I had not wanted to see The Wife mostly because I saw Colette with Keira Knightly and felt it was really the same story.

at home. Colette was available as well, but the reviews may have steered me clear of it, at least for now. Once I get through the films I most want to see, I'll hit that one up.
