I remember being immediately sucked in. This one took a bit of the episode before I started really getting excited about it. I kind of felt the production values were a little less impressive than GOT, but I don't want to compare it too much and it was only the first episode with a lot of talk and setup. I was kind of giddy hearing the names Stark and Baratheon and references to other familiar lands. And we get a lot of dragons this go around.

I read the books first, so my expectations were high, and GoT nailed it, until the last season. This time I have not read the book, but I like it so far, esp the dragons! I'm not a fan of Matt Smith (he stunk in The Crown) but looks like everyone loves to hate him. Again, as in GoT, it's all about the women in power.

saw him at a Comic Con panel and he was pretty funny.
