Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I saw

the musical In the Heights. It's directed by Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians) and based on based on the musical stage play by Lin Manuel Miranda. I wasn't all that impressed with the songs overall. They were sometimes kind of mundane and overly talky, if that makes sense. But the dance numbers were great!

I didn't see it, but in an interview, one of the actors says there is a nod to Hamilton in the scene where someone is on the phone, and in the background, an instrumental version of "You'll Be Back" plays.
No movies for us. Too much tennis and basketball playoffs. Good luck to the Clippers. My Lakers... boo hoo.

I could. I did see the Djokovic vs Nadal (my fave) match that was an instant classic. I don't think the Clippers will get past the No. 1 Utah to be honest. But I'm enjoying all the playoff series. My Dodgers are in a race to the top with the rival Giants so that's going to make for a great summer.
