Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I

didn't see any movies this week. I wish I had! Got kind of busy with various things and just didn't get a chance. I think there are a couple interesting sounding films being released on HBO Max concurrently with theater release coming up.

[> Watched Bob Ross, Betrayal & Greed on Netflix -- skw123, 23:23:42 08/29/21 Sun [1]

Tho I'd never been a viewer of his show on PBS, I knew about him and his art instruction. This documentary is done kind of Dateline style, with interviews and film clips etc. Bob seemed like a nice, if naive guy who fell victim to a pair of real legal bloodsuckers. Passed away from cancer. Sad and sadly, boring.
The Sandra Oh series The Chair got worse and worse, by the last ep it was appallingly bad. Not funny or good or even worthy of the actress' time.

[> Binged Mare of Eastown -- AllyG, 12:28:40 08/30/21 Mon [1]

It had recorded while I was in and out of town and I just never got around to it. I love Kate Winslet and think she conveys so much without speaking. It is a dark, sad story in a lot of ways but I did think it was really well done.

I had watched at the time but it recorded a couple and then I decided to let it all record and binge it.
