Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I saw

The Many Saints of Newark, a prequel movie of HBO's The Sopranos TV series about Tony Soprano's upbringing. Teen Tony is played by the son of the late James Gandolfini who played Tony in the series. Also in the film, Vera Farmiga, Ray Liotta, Leslie Odom Jr., Jon Bernthal, Corey Stoll and Alessandro Nivola. It's not necessary to have seen the Sopranos to enjoy, but for fans, it definitely had some moments that clicked. Seeing teen Tony with teen Carmela was perfect. The actress looked like a young Edie Falco.

We saw No Time to Die, lol. It was fun to see, and well-crafted for the MANY chase scenes and blowing stuff up and gun fights, but the story was weakly supported. It was hard to know what was going on with the "plot", which was disappointing. A true Bond film has a well articulated, clear plot line, villain, etc. Too bad, since it is Daniel Craig's last as Bond.
We liked the Many Saints too, and I want to watch it again. It was packed with info and fun for fans of the series. Hard to believe it debuted 21 years ago! Vera Farmiga as Livia Soprano NAILED it. Omg, what a pain she was.

I think you said you don't get Netflix. Fine someone who has it and ck it out. It's crazy good and different from anything I've ever seen before. It's like The hunger Games meets Parasite.

even without seeing it, I have definitely read some things about it. It does sound unique and I probably would check it out.
