Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I saw

Dune. It is not the first film version of the science fiction novel by Frank Herbert. I know I saw the 1984 David Lynch version, but all I remember about it was sand worms and Sting. Hey, it was the 80s. Anyway, this version only covers the 1st part of the story, with a subsequent film in the works to finish it. The cast is impressive: Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, Oscar Isaac, Stellan Skarsgard, Javier Bardem, Dave Bautista and Charlotte Rampling. Chalamet and Zendaya are mesmerizingly gorgeous. The mood and effects are spot on. I definitely recommend it if you like your sci-fi on an epic scale.

Thanks for the review of Dune. I've never seen or read any version, and I'm not a real syfi fan. I'll give it a look.
