Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I

watched one of my old favorites for Halloween, Beetlejuice! It had been awhile since I had seen it. I forgot just how young Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis were in this film. I love Michael Keaton so much. I skimmed through a few scary films on Halloween in between trick or treaters as well. Halloween (the original) and the bad Halloween sequels mostly.

starring Jeff Daniels as Jim Comey, FBI director who was fired by Trump. Brendan Gleeson nails the persona of Trump. I'm not really into politics, frankly, but this 2 part series is focused on two egotistical personalities who clash over loyalty and lies. No heroes here, just great drama. On Showtime.

one on Showtime I've been meaning to watch. I think it's a miniseries called The Good Lord Bird about abolitionist John Brown.

I saw a preview of it, and the movie looks like the producers spared no expense on the filming - beautiful cinematography, great costumes.
