Subject: We watched 3 good movies this weekend, The Lie, The Prom and After.

The Lie, on Primevideo, is a well-done story about a teen who kills her best friend, and how her parents lie and conspire to cover it up to save her. Really intense!

The Prom on Netflix is a hysterical musical starring James Corden, Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman about 3 Broadway stars who go to Indiana to put on a prom for a gay teen who has been banned from the school prom.

After is about a college freshman whose life of innocence is challenged by an older , wild boy she meets. Kind of a riff on Dangerous Liaisons.

Your Honor. Bryan Cranston plays a very ethical judge in New Orleans, but when his asthmatic teen son commits a hit and run that kills the son of a mob boss, his ethics are tested in his effort to protect his son. It's two episodes in and very intense. Thanks for starting the Movie Monday thread. My brain is not engaged apparently LOL!

Just can't have 'em all, unfortunately.

[> Been watching The Undoing from HBO -- AllyG, 14:36:23 12/14/20 Mon [1]

I've seen three of six episodes. Has Nicole Kidman, Hugh Grant and Lily Rabe in it. It is interesting if a bit "arty" lots of shots of just Nic's eyes. There is a murder connected to her son's school and the fall out is turning her perfect life with her doctor husband (Hugh Grant) upside down. It is twisty and you wonder who or what you should believe.
